Yamaha DHR10 10-Inch Powered PA Speaker
The Yamaha DHR10 is a 2-way, bi-amplified powered loudspeaker that pairs a 10-inch woofer with a 1.4-inch compression driver. A 700 W Class-D amplifier and Yamaha DSP sit inside a plywood cabinet built the same way as Yamaha's higher-end DZR Series.
Yamaha positions the DHR10 primarily for fixed installations, making it a good fit for cafés, restaurants, houses of worship and meeting spaces. Its compact size, pole socket and built-in two-channel mixer also make it practical for small portable PA setups and fill positions.
Key Features
700 W Class-D Bi-Amplification
Separate amplifier channels drive the woofer (500 W) and the compression driver (200 W), for 700 W of dynamic power and 325 W continuous. The DHR10 reaches a maximum output of 128 dB SPL, so a compact cabinet can still cover speech and live music with headroom to spare.
Rotatable Horn for Horizontal or Vertical Installation
The 90° x 60° high-frequency horn can be rotated, so coverage stays correctly oriented whether the cabinet stands upright or is mounted on its side. Combined with Yamaha's optional U-bracket, this lets installers fit the DHR10 under low ceilings, above bars or on walls without compromising dispersion.
Custom 10-Inch Woofer and 1.4-Inch Compression Driver
The 10-inch cone woofer uses a 2-inch voice coil and ferrite magnet, while the 1-inch-throat compression driver has a 1.4-inch diaphragm. Yamaha designed these transducers to give tight, well-defined bass with low distortion and accurate mids and highs.
FIR-X Tuning and 24-Bit DSP
Yamaha's FIR-X tuning uses linear-phase FIR filters at the 1.9 kHz crossover and corrects time alignment between the two drivers. The result is a smoother handover between woofer and horn, which improves clarity and stereo imaging. All processing runs through 24-bit, 48 kHz A/D and D/A converters.
D-CONTOUR Modes and High-Pass Filter
D-CONTOUR is a multi-band dynamic processor with FOH/MAIN and MONITOR settings: FOH/MAIN adds low-end weight for stand-mounted or flown speakers, while MONITOR reins in the lows for clarity on stage. A high-pass filter at 100 Hz or 120 Hz (24 dB/octave) makes it simple to add a powered subwoofer.
Built-In Two-Channel Mixer
Channel 1 has an XLR/TRS combo input that accepts mic or line signals, and channel 2 offers a combo input plus stereo RCA jacks for a phone, laptop or media player. The XLR output can pass channel 1 through or send a channel 1+2 mix to another speaker, making daisy-chaining easy.
Plywood Cabinet with Polyurea Finish
The bass-reflex enclosure is made from plywood, which keeps cabinet vibration low for a clean sound, and is coated in tough black polyurea to resist scratches. Yamaha's DSP-based protection monitors the amplifiers, power supply and drivers to keep the speaker running reliably.
Pole, Rigging and Bracket Mounting Options
At 15.0 kg, the DHR10 has a top handle and a 35 mm pole socket for standard speaker stands. Two top and one rear rigging point accept M10 eyebolts of 30-50 mm length, and Yamaha's optional U-bracket allows wall or ceiling mounting.

How does the DHR10 compare with the DHR12 and DHR15?
All three share the plywood cabinet, FIR-X tuning, D-CONTOUR and two-channel mixer. The DHR10 has a 700 W amplifier and 128 dB maximum SPL in a 15.0 kg cabinet. The DHR12 (12-inch woofer) and DHR15 (15-inch woofer) use 1,000 W amplifiers and reach 130 dB and 131 dB SPL respectively, with deeper low-frequency extension, but are larger and heavier.
What is the difference between the DHR10 and the CHR10?
They share the same cabinet size, driver sizes and rotatable horn. The DHR10 is powered, with its own 700 W amplifier, DSP and mixer, so it plugs straight into mains power. The CHR10 is a passive speaker that needs an external amplifier such as a Yamaha PX Series model.
What comes in the box?
Yamaha's owner's manual refers to a supplied power cord. The U-bracket, eyebolts and the SPCVR-DHR10 functional speaker cover are optional accessories sold separately.
Can I plug a microphone straight into it?
Yes. Channel 1's XLR/TRS combo input accepts microphone or line level signals, and channel 2 takes a line source or a stereo RCA device, so a single mic and background music can run without an external mixer.
Can it be used with a subwoofer?
Yes. Set the high-pass filter to 100 Hz or 120 Hz so the DHR10 hands the low bass to a powered subwoofer such as the Yamaha DXS15XLF.
How much power does it draw?
Yamaha lists power consumption of 18 W at idle and 60 W at one-eighth power, from a 50/60 Hz mains supply.
