The Yamaha DHR12 is a 12-inch 2-way bi-amped powered loudspeaker that pairs a 1000 W Class-D amplifier and high-performance DSP with the same type of polyurea-coated plywood cabinet used on Yamaha's DZR series. It reaches 130 dB SPL with a frequency range down to 48 Hz.
Yamaha designed it as a main or utility speaker, and its rotatable horn and optional U-bracket make it well suited to fixed installations in churches, auditoriums, restaurants and conference halls. Dual-angle pole sockets also let it work as a portable main speaker for events.

1000 W Class-D Amplification on the DHR12
A bi-amped Class-D amplifier delivers 1000 W dynamic (800 W LF, 200 W HF) and 465 W continuous. That gives the DHR12 up to 130 dB SPL with clean dynamics for speech and music.
Custom 12-Inch Woofer and 1.4-Inch Driver
A 12-inch ferrite woofer with a 2.5-inch voice coil handles the lows, and a 1-inch throat compression driver with a 1.4-inch diaphragm delivers clear mids and highs. Coverage is 90° x 60°, and the frequency range spans 48 Hz to 20 kHz (-10 dB).
FIR-X Tuning and 24-Bit Converters
Yamaha's FIR-X tuning uses linear-phase FIR filters at the 1.8 kHz crossover and aligns the timing of the woofer and horn. Combined with 24-bit A/D and D/A conversion, this gives a smooth response through the crossover with better clarity and imaging.
D-CONTOUR and Switchable High-Pass Filter
D-CONTOUR offers FOH/MAIN and MONITOR modes to keep the sound clear at any level, while a high-pass filter (100 Hz or 120 Hz, 24 dB/oct) lets you hand the low end to a subwoofer. DSP protection monitors the power supply, amplifiers and drivers for reliable operation.
Built-In 2-Channel Mixer
CH1 accepts a mic or line signal on a combo jack, and CH2 offers a combo jack plus RCA inputs for playback devices. The XLR output can pass CH1 through or send the CH1+CH2 mix to the next speaker.
Rotatable Horn and Installation Options
The HF horn rotates so the DHR12 can be installed vertically or horizontally, with the optional UB-DXRDHR12 U-bracket. It also has top and rear points for M10 eyebolts (30-50 mm), dual 35 mm pole sockets at 0° or -7°, and top and side handles.
Durable Plywood Cabinet
The plywood enclosure with durable polyurea painting gives a robust, scratch-resistant surface for years of use. At 359 x 578 x 340 mm and 19.2 kg, it stays compact for a 12-inch speaker.

DHR12 or DBR12: which should I choose?
Both have 1000 W and a 12-inch woofer. The DHR12 adds a plywood cabinet, a rotatable horn, a switchable high-pass filter and M10 rigging points for installation, and reaches lower (48 Hz vs 52 Hz). The DBR12 is lighter with a plastic cabinet and 50° monitor angle, ideal for portable use.
DHR12 or DHR12M?
The DHR12 is a main or utility speaker with a rotatable horn. The DHR12M is a low-profile floor monitor with a 1.75-inch coaxial driver and a 57° monitor angle.
Can I use it with a subwoofer?
Yes. Switch on the 100 Hz or 120 Hz high-pass filter so the DHR12 handles the mids and highs while a subwoofer such as the DXS15XLF covers the low end.
Can I plug a microphone straight in?
Yes. CH1's combo jack accepts mic or line level, so you can run a speech mic alongside music on CH2 without a separate mixer.
Which mounting accessories are available?
Yamaha offers the optional UB-DXRDHR12 U-bracket for vertical or horizontal installation. The top and rear rigging points fit M10 x 30-50 mm eyebolts, which are not included.
