The Yamaha P-S500 is an 88-key smart digital piano built around Stream Lights: red and blue lamps above every key that show which notes to play and when. It pairs a weighted GHS keyboard with Yamaha CFX and Bösendorfer Imperial piano Voices, and works with the Smart Pianist app to unlock 660 Voices, 370 Styles and features such as Audio to Score.

No. On its own it offers 100 Voices, 100 Styles and 100 preset Songs with Stream Lights. Connecting Smart Pianist unlocks 660 Voices, 370 Styles, 403 Songs, Audio to Score, Vocal Harmony and 16-track recording.
How does the P-S500 connect to Smart Pianist?
By cable, using the supplied USB cable and USB conversion cables (Type A to Micro B and Type A to Type C), or wirelessly with the optional UD-WL01 USB wireless LAN adaptor.
How is the P-S500 different from the DGX-670?
Both use the GHS keyboard, CFX sound with VRM and 256-note polyphony. The P-S500 adds Stream Lights, a Bösendorfer Imperial Voice, binaural CFX sampling and more powerful (20 W + 6 W) × 2 amplification, while the DGX-670 has a 4.3-inch colour display and its full 601 Voices and 263 Styles on board without an app.
Which stand and pedals fit the P-S500?
Yamaha lists the L-300 matching stand and the LP-1 and FC35 pedal units as optional accessories. A footswitch is included.
