How does the P-225 differ from the P-145BT?

Per Yamaha India's comparison, the P-225 steps up from the CFIIIS-based sound of the P-145 to the Yamaha CFX with VRM Lite, from 64 to 192-note polyphony and from 10 to 24 Voices. It also adds a two-way speaker system, Split mode, 20 rhythms, MIDI recording, AUX outputs and a second headphone jack.

Should I choose the P-225 or the DGX-670?

Choose the P-225 if you want a slim, light (11.5 kg) piano focused on core playing. The DGX-670 is larger and heavier (21.4 kg) with a GHS keyboard and adds 601 Voices, 263 Styles, a colour display, microphone input and 16-track recording.

Which stand and pedals work with the P-225?

Yamaha lists the L-200 stand, the LP-1 and FC35 three-pedal units and the FC3A sustain pedal, which supports half-pedalling. Yamaha recommends using the FC35 only with the stand attached; three-pedal availability varies by region.

Can Smart Pianist connect over Bluetooth?

The built-in Bluetooth is for audio playback. Smart Pianist connects by cable, or wirelessly on iOS using Yamaha's separately sold UD-BT01 adaptor.
