Full-Range Impact for Live Sound and DJ Performance.

The Yamaha DBR15 is the largest and highest-output model in the DBR Series, combining a 15-inch low-frequency driver, precision compression driver and 1,000 W dynamic Class-D amplification. With output reaching 132 dB SPL and response extending to 50 Hz, it delivers authoritative low end and clear vocal projection for demanding portable PA applications.

Designed for bands, DJs, worship venues, schools and event users, DBR15 works as a powerful front-of-house cabinet, floor monitor or stage side fill. Yamaha FIR-X tuning, D-CONTOUR processing and protection DSP maintain controlled, consistent reproduction, while the onboard 2-channel mixer supports straightforward standalone operation.

Key Features

⚑

1,000 W bi-amplified Class-D power with 132 dB SPL

Separate amplifier sections provide 800 W dynamic power for the low-frequency driver and 200 W for the high-frequency section. This efficient bi-amped design delivers strong transient response and ample headroom for live music, DJ playback and speech reinforcement.

πŸ”Š

15-inch woofer for deeper, more prominent low-frequency output

The 15-inch low-frequency cone uses a 2.5-inch voice coil to deliver controlled bass and strong midrange projection. A 1.4-inch-diaphragm compression driver handles vocals and high-frequency detail, producing a specified 50 Hz–20 kHz frequency range.

〰️

FIR-X tuning for accurate phase and consistent coverage

Yamaha FIR-X tuning uses linear-phase FIR filtering at the 2.1 kHz crossover to align the low- and high-frequency sections. This helps produce smooth response through the crossover region and consistent 90Β° horizontal by 60Β° vertical coverage.

πŸŽ›οΈ

D-CONTOUR adapts the speaker for main or monitor use

Select FOH/MAIN for front-of-house reinforcement, MONITOR for wedge operation or OFF for a more neutral response. Dynamic processing adjusts the tonal balance according to output level, helping the DBR15 remain balanced at both moderate and high volume.

🎚️

Built-in 2-channel mixer with flexible input and output routing

Channel 1 accepts microphone- or line-level signals through an XLR/TRS combo input. Channel 2 provides a second combo input plus unbalanced RCA connectors for a stereo playback source. The XLR output can send either Channel 1 as a parallel through signal or the combined Channel 1+2 mix.

🧳

Symmetrical monitor cabinet with flexible mounting options

The durable plastic enclosure weighs 19.3 kg and provides two side handles, a 35 mm pole socket and a symmetrical 50Β° monitor profile for left- or right-side placement. Three M8 rigging points support compatible installation hardware for selected fixed applications.

FAQ

Q. Who is the Yamaha DBR15 best suited to?

It suits live bands, DJs, worship teams, schools and event users who want the strongest low-frequency extension and maximum output available in the DBR Series.

Q. Can the DBR15 be used as a floor monitor?

Yes. Its symmetrical cabinet supports 50Β° floor-monitor placement on either side, and the D-CONTOUR MONITOR setting adjusts the response for wedge operation.

Q. Can a microphone be connected directly?

Yes. Channel 1 accepts microphone- or line-level input through an XLR/TRS combo connector. The DBR15 does not provide phantom power, so condenser microphones that require it need a suitable mixer or external supply.

Q. Can I connect another powered speaker?

Yes. The XLR output can pass Channel 1 directly or send a mix of Channels 1 and 2 to another powered speaker, mixer or compatible audio device.

Q. Does the DBR15 include Bluetooth?

No. Playback devices connect through the combo or RCA inputs. A separate Bluetooth receiver or mixer can be added when wireless playback is required.

Q. How does it compare with the DBR12?

Both models provide 1,000 W dynamic output, but the DBR15 adds a larger 15-inch woofer, extends down to 50 Hz and reaches 132 dB SPL. The DBR12 is smaller and lighter, making it easier to transport and deploy as a compact floor monitor or side fill.
