Yamaha DBR12 12-inch Powered PA Speaker
The Yamaha DBR12 is a 12-inch 2-way bi-amped powered loudspeaker with 1000 W of Class-D power and a maximum output of 131 dB SPL. It uses DSP and amplifier technology developed for Yamaha's DSR and DXR series in a lightweight plastic cabinet built for quick setups.
Its balance of size and output makes it a natural all-rounder: front-of-house for small to mid-sized events, a floor monitor on stage or a side fill. Bands, DJs, event companies, schools and churches can use the same cabinet in all of these roles.

1000 W Class-D Amplification on the DBR12
A bi-amped Class-D amplifier delivers 1000 W (LF: 800 W, HF: 200 W) dynamic, with separate amplification for the woofer and compression driver. That power gives the DBR12 up to 131 dB SPL with clean transients for live music and DJ sets.
Custom 12-inch Woofer and Compression Driver
A 12-inch ferrite woofer with a 2-inch voice coil handles the lows, and a 1-inch throat compression driver with a 1.4-inch diaphragm handles the mids and highs. Together they cover 52 Hz to 20 kHz (-10 dB) across a 90° x 60° dispersion pattern.
FIR-X Tuning for Clear, Phase-Accurate Sound
Yamaha's FIR-X tuning uses a linear-phase FIR filter at the 2.1 kHz crossover. This keeps the woofer and horn in phase through the crossover region, so vocals stay clear and natural even at high levels.
D-CONTOUR for Mains or Monitors
The D-CONTOUR switch offers FOH/MAIN, MONITOR and OFF settings. FOH/MAIN suits stand-mounted or flown speakers, while MONITOR mode tames the low frequencies that build up when the speaker lies on the stage floor.
Built-In 2-Channel Mixer
CH1 takes a mic or line signal on a combo XLR/TRS jack, and CH2 has a combo jack plus RCA inputs for phones, laptops or CD players. The XLR output can pass CH1 through or send the CH1+CH2 mix to another speaker.
Floor Monitor Angle and Easy Mounting
A 50° wedge angle lets the DBR12 double as a stage monitor. The symmetrical cabinet also lets you set up mirror-image monitor pairs. It also has a 35 mm pole socket for stands, M8 rigging points for optional brackets or eyebolts, and two side handles for carrying.

DBR12 or DBR15: which should I choose?
Both deliver 1000 W. The DBR15 reaches lower (50 Hz vs 52 Hz) and plays slightly louder (132 vs 131 dB SPL), while the DBR12 is smaller and lighter at 15.8 kg and makes a more manageable floor monitor.
How is the DBR series different from the DZR series?
The DZR series steps up to 2000 W, 96 kHz DSP with an LCD screen for presets, EQ and delay, neodymium drivers and a plywood cabinet. The DBR series is lighter and simpler to operate, with a built-in 2-channel mixer.
Can I plug a microphone straight in?
Yes. CH1 accepts a microphone or line-level signal on its combo jack, so you can run a speech or announcement mic alongside music on CH2 without a separate mixer.
Can I add a subwoofer?
Yes. Use the XLR output to feed another speaker, or feed the speaker and a subwoofer from a mixer. The DXS15XLF powered subwoofer is a common partner for extra low end.
What mounting options are there?
A 35 mm pole socket fits standard speaker stands, and M8 threaded points accept optional Yamaha brackets or M8 x 15 mm eyebolts (not included). Yamaha also offers an optional speaker cover for transport.
