The Yamaha DBR12 combines a 12-inch low-frequency driver, precision compression driver and 1,000 W dynamic Class-D amplification in a portable, multi-purpose powered loudspeaker. The 12-inch low-frequency cone uses a 2-inch voice coil for controlled bass and midrange output. A 1.4-inch-diaphragm compression driver reproduces vocals and high-frequency detail, producing a specified 52 Hz–20 kHz frequency range.

FIR-X tuning for accurate phase and consistent coverage

Yamaha FIR-X tuning uses linear-phase FIR filtering at the 2.1 kHz crossover to align the low- and high-frequency sections. This helps produce smooth response through the crossover region and consistent 90° horizontal by 60° vertical coverage.

D-CONTOUR adapts the speaker for main or monitor use

Select FOH/MAIN for front-of-house reinforcement, MONITOR for wedge operation or OFF for a more neutral response. Dynamic processing adjusts the tonal balance according to output level, helping the DBR12 remain clear at both moderate and high volume.

Built-in 2-channel mixer with flexible input and output routing

Channel 1 accepts microphone- or line-level signals through an XLR/TRS combo input. Channel 2 provides a second combo input plus unbalanced RCA connectors for a stereo playback source. The XLR output can send either Channel 1 as a parallel through signal or the combined Channel 1+2 mix.

Symmetrical monitor cabinet with flexible mounting options

The durable plastic enclosure weighs 15.8 kg and provides two side handles, a 35 mm pole socket and a symmetrical 50° monitor profile for left- or right-side placement. Three M8 rigging points support compatible installation hardware for selected fixed applications.
