Watch & Hear It
One Mic, One Guitar, One Cable to the Computer
The AG03MK2 is the mixer that made live streaming simple. One combo input takes a microphone on XLR with +48V phantom power, or flips to Hi-Z for a guitar plugged straight in. A stereo line input, a smartphone jack and a 24-bit/192 kHz USB-C interface handle everything else.
What sets it apart from a plain audio interface is that the processing happens in the hardware. One-touch COMP/EQ, SPX reverb and amp simulation run on the mixer itself — no latency to fight, no load on your computer, and what you hear is what your audience hears.

What You Get
- Combo mic/line input with +48V phantom power. Takes a condenser such as the Yamaha YCM01 on XLR, a dynamic mic, or a line-level source on jack.
- Hi-Z switch for guitar. Plug a guitar directly into CH1 and use the built-in AMP SIM — no amplifier, no pedalboard, no DI box.
- One-touch COMP/EQ and SPX REVERB. Yamaha's studio processing on a single button press, running in the hardware at zero latency.
- LOOPBACK. Sends your voice and your computer's audio back out as one stream — the feature that made the AG range the default desk for game streams and podcasts.
- MIX MINUS MIC. Keeps your own voice out of the return feed, so remote guests never hear themselves echoing back.
- Headset support. A 3.5 mm headset mic input with plug-in power as an alternative to XLR, plus a separate headphone output.
- USB-C, bus powered. 2-in / 2-out, USB Audio Class 2.0, 5 V / 900 mA. 126 × 63 × 201 mm, 0.8 kg.
- Cubase AI and WaveLab Cast download licences included in the box.
Reading the AG Model Names
Yamaha's AG names are straightforward once you know the pattern:
- The number is the channel count — 03, 06, 08.
- MK2 is the second generation, with a USB Type-C connection.
- LSPK means Live Streaming Pack — the same mixer bundled with a microphone, headphones and cable.
- AG01 is the exception: a condenser microphone with the AG mixer built into its body.
So this one, the AG03MK2, is the three-channel second-generation mixer — one mic, one stereo line source, one computer.

FAQ
Q. AG03MK2 or AG06MK2?
Count your microphones. The AG03MK2 has one combo mic input; the AG06MK2 has two, so a second person can sit down with their own condenser and their own headphones. If you record alone, the AG03MK2 does everything the AG06MK2 does.
Q. Do I still need a separate audio interface?
No. The AG03MK2 is an audio interface — 2-in / 2-out over USB-C, class compliant, 24-bit/192 kHz. It appears as a recording device in OBS, your DAW or any streaming app.
Q. Will it work with a phone or an iPad?
Yes. There is a 4-pole mini jack for connecting a smartphone directly, and the mixer is class compliant, so an iPad connects through Apple's USB-C or Lightning camera adapter.
Q. Do I have to install software to use the effects?
No — COMP/EQ, reverb and amp sim are hardware buttons on the panel and work the moment you power it up. The free AG Controller app for Windows, Mac and iOS is there if you want to shape those settings in more detail.
Q. Which microphone should I pair with it?
The Yamaha YCM01 condenser is the natural match and the mic Yamaha bundles in the AG03MK2 LSPK pack. If you would rather buy it all together, the LSPK adds the YCM01, YH-MT1 headphones and a 3 m XLR cable.
