Yamaha AG03MK2 Live Streaming Mixer and USB Audio Interface
The Yamaha AG03MK2 is a compact 3-channel mixer with a built-in USB-C audio interface, made for live streaming, podcasting and home recording. It is the second-generation version of the AG03 and adds a 4-pole mini (TRRS) jack for smartphones, a dedicated mute button and improved internal circuitry.
It suits solo creators who want one microphone, a guitar or keyboard and background audio from a computer or phone under hands-on control. Effects run on the mixer's own DSP, and the whole unit is powered from a single USB-C connection.
Key Features
Phantom-Powered Mic Input with Headset Option
Channel 1 is a combo jack that takes a microphone on XLR, with +48 V phantom power for condenser mics or DI boxes, or a line source. There is also a 3.5 mm headset mic input with plug-in power, though CH1 and the headset mic cannot be used at the same time. The PHONES output likewise has a HEADSET PHONES option; Yamaha notes the two cannot be used at the same time.

60 mm Fader and Mute Button on the AG03MK2
Mic level on CH1 is set with a 60 mm fader, so you can ride your voice level smoothly while live. A new mute button cuts the mic instantly when you need to cough or step away. With an optional FC5 foot switch, you can also switch reverb or mute hands-free.

Guitar, Line and Smartphone Inputs
The stereo line input doubles as a Hi-Z guitar input on CH2, so you can plug a guitar straight in. The 4-pole mini (TRRS) jack works as both input and output for a smartphone, handy for bringing in a voice-chat guest or sending your mix to a phone. Stereo monitor outputs (phone and RCA) feed powered speakers.
LOOPBACK and Streaming Output Modes
LOOPBACK sends audio playing on your computer, such as music or game sound, back out to your streaming software together with your microphone. The STREAMING OUT switch selects DRY CH 1-2G, INPUT MIX or LOOPBACK, and a MIX MINUS MIC switch is also provided. This lets one small mixer cover talk streams, music performances and calls.

Zero-Latency DSP Effects
1-TOUCH COMP/EQ, SPX reverb and an amp simulator for guitar are processed on the AG03MK2's internal DSP chip, so there is no delay in what you hear. Because the processing happens in the mixer, it adds no load to your computer. Fine-tune them in Yamaha's free AG Controller app (Windows, Mac and iOS), or switch them off to record a clean signal for later editing. The AG03MK2 is also an OBS Certified device.
24-bit/192 kHz USB-C Audio Interface
The USB-C port carries 2-in/2-out audio at up to 24-bit/192 kHz and is USB Audio Class 2.0 compliant. Yamaha cites the move to USB-C and enhanced internal circuitry for a clear improvement in sound quality and more stable operation over the original AG03. It works with Windows and Mac computers, and with iOS devices through an Apple Camera Adapter with external USB power.

Compact, USB-Powered Streaming Station
The slim 126 x 63 x 201 mm body weighs 0.8 kg and sits on almost any flat surface, or on a mic stand with the optional BMS-10A adaptor. It runs on 5 V DC 900 mA over USB-C, so it can even be paired with a mobile battery for streaming on the go. Cubase AI and WaveLab Cast are bundled for recording and editing.

Frequently Asked Questions
How is the AG03MK2 different from the AG06MK2?
Both share the same DSP effects, LOOPBACK, TRRS smartphone jack and 24-bit/192 kHz USB-C interface. The AG03MK2 has one phantom-powered combo mic input and one stereo line input, while the AG06MK2 has two combo inputs with +48 V phantom power and two stereo line inputs. Choose the AG06MK2 if two people need to talk on microphones at once.
Should I choose the AG03MK2 or the AG08?
The AG08 is the flagship of the AG range, with eight channels, 60 mm faders and mute buttons for each input, six sound pads, extra effects such as a voice changer, delay, ducker and maximizer, and 8-in/14-out multichannel USB audio at up to 48 kHz. The AG03MK2 is smaller and simpler, with 2-in/2-out USB audio at up to 192 kHz, and suits a single creator.
Does the AG03MK2 need a power adaptor?
No adaptor is required. The AG03MK2 is powered through its USB Type-C port at 5 V DC, 900 mA, with a maximum consumption of 4.5 W. Yamaha notes that a supply of at least 5 V 900 mA is needed for stable operation, and that iOS devices need an external USB power supply when connected through the Apple Camera Adapter.
Which computers and devices work with the AG03MK2?
Yamaha lists Windows and Mac support via USB-C, iOS through an Apple Camera Adapter, and Android through the 4-pole mini (TRRS) jack. The AG Controller app supports Windows 10 (64-bit) and 11, and macOS 10.15 to macOS 26, and Yamaha provides the Yamaha Steinberg USB Driver for Windows.
What comes in the box?
Yamaha lists a 1.5 m USB 2.0 cable, a Quick Guide, a Safety Guide and download information for Cubase AI and WaveLab Cast. A microphone and headphones are not included with the mixer on its own; the AG03MK2 LSPK pack adds a YCM01 condenser microphone, YH-MT1 headphones and an XLR cable.
Can I control the AG03MK2 with a foot switch?
Yes. Yamaha says reverb and mute can be controlled with the optional FC5 foot switch, which is sold separately, leaving your hands free while you play or present.
