The One That Sends Every Channel to Your Computer Separately
The AG08 is the flagship of the AG range and the point at which it stops being a small streaming mixer and becomes a production desk. Eight channels, 60 mm faders and a mute button on every input, six assignable sound pads, and a touch panel for the DSP.
The real reason to step up is the USB interface: 8 channels in and 14 out, so OBS or your DAW sees your microphone, your guest, your music and your game audio as separate tracks rather than one stereo mix. That is what lets you fix a level after the fact instead of re-recording.

Reading the AG Model Names
Yamaha's AG names are straightforward once you know the pattern:
- The number is the channel count — 03, 06, 08.
- MK2 is the second generation: USB-C instead of micro-USB, 24-bit/192 kHz, and the streaming-out modes.
- LSPK means Live Streaming Pack — the mixer bundled with a microphone, headphones and cable.
- AG01 is the exception: a condenser microphone with the AG mixer built into its body.
The AG08 carries no MK2 because it was new to the second generation. Note the honest trade-off: it runs at 48 kHz where the MK2 mixers reach 192 kHz, but it sends eight separate channels where they send a stereo mix.

FAQ
Q. Why would I pay for the AG08 over the AG06MK2?
Three reasons: multi-channel USB, so every source lands in your software as its own track; physical faders and mute buttons instead of knobs; and the sound pads. If you record a single mix and never edit it afterwards, the AG06MK2 is the sensible buy.
Q. Does it really only go to 48 kHz?
Yes. The AG08 runs at 24-bit/48 kHz and carries eight channels; the AG03MK2 and AG06MK2 reach 192 kHz but only two. For streaming and podcast work 48 kHz is the standard delivery rate, so the channel count matters far more than the sample rate.
Q. Can two people monitor separately?
Yes — there are two independent headphone outputs, so you and a guest can each have your own feed, plus MONITOR outputs on XLR and TRS for powered speakers in the room.
Q. What is the ducker for?
It drops the music level automatically whenever you speak and brings it back when you stop — the effect radio presenters get from a producer riding a fader. It is one of the features that makes an AG08 stream sound produced rather than recorded.
Q. Will it work with an iPad or a camera?
Yes. CH7/8 has a 4-pole mini jack for a smartphone or camera, and iOS devices connect through Apple's camera adapter. The AG08 Controller app runs on iOS as well as Windows and Mac.
