The Yamaha STAGEPAS 100BTR is a compact, battery-powered portable PA that combines a 100 W (dynamic) Class-D amplifier, a two-way coaxial speaker and a 3-channel mixer in one 5.5 kg unit. Its 6.5-inch woofer and 1-inch-throat compression driver cover 70 Hz–20 kHz with up to 120 dB SPL.

A rechargeable lithium-ion battery gives up to 6 hours of operation, and Bluetooth 5.0 lets you stream backing tracks or background music from a phone or tablet. It suits buskers, solo performers, presenters, teachers, fitness classes and small events where mains power is not always close at hand.

Coaxial two-way speaker with FIR-X crossover

The 6.5-inch cone woofer and 1-inch-throat compression driver are mounted coaxially, giving even 90° × 90° coverage. Yamaha’s FIR-X filtering at the 1.8 kHz crossover keeps phase response accurate between the two drivers.

100 W Class-D amplification

The bi-amped Class-D amplifier delivers 100 W dynamic power, split as 93 W to the low-frequency driver and 7 W to the high-frequency driver, for a maximum output level of 120 dB SPL.

Built-in 3-channel mixer with Hi-Z input

Channel 1 is a mic/line combo input and Channel 2 is a mic/line combo input that also accepts Hi-Z instruments such as an acoustic-electric guitar. Channel 3 is a stereo mini line input, and a 2-band EQ shapes the overall sound.

Bluetooth 5.0 audio streaming

Bluetooth 5.0 with A2DP and SBC or AAC codecs lets you play music wirelessly from a compatible phone or tablet. An XLR output sends the mix of inputs 1–3 to another powered speaker or a mixer.

Up to 6 hours on battery power

The 60 Wh lithium-ion battery gives up to 6 hours of operation and recharges in about 2.5 hours. For mains use, the PA-500 AC adaptor and power cord are supplied.

Rotatable handle and microphone-stand mounting

The rotatable handle also works as an adjustable stand, and a 3/8-inch threaded socket allows the speaker to be mounted on a microphone stand. The cabinet measures 239 × 310 × 215 mm, and the BAG-STP100 carrying bag is available as an option.

Q. How long does the battery last?

Yamaha specifies up to 6 hours of operation from the 60 Wh lithium-ion battery, with a charging time of about 2.5 hours. Actual running time depends on volume and programme material.

Q. Can I plug in a guitar directly?

Yes. Channel 2 accepts Hi-Z instruments such as an acoustic-electric guitar, while Channel 1 handles a microphone or line source.
