Three-Zone Snare Control with Real Pedals Under Both Feet
The module, voices and training functions are identical across the DTX402K, DTX432K and DTX452K. The step up here is mechanical and very specific: the TP70S snare separates head, open-rim and closed-rim playing, so cross-stick and rim-shot parts can be practised properly instead of being approximated on a single-zone pad.
Underfoot, the DTX452K matches the DTX432K with an actual bass drum pedal striking a twin-pedal-compatible KP65 and an HH65 controller capable of expressive half-open hi-hat work. For graded study, lessons, worship, jazz, latin and any playing where snare articulation matters, this is the strongest starting point in the series.

Is the DTX452K the Right One for You?
Buy it if...
You are taking lessons, working towards grades or want a first kit that teaches both real pedal technique and proper snare articulation. Cross-stick, rim-shot and head strokes are part of real drumming; this is the only model in the range that gives the snare separate zones for them.
Choose the DTX432K instead if...
You want the same module, kick pad, bass drum pedal and expressive hi-hat control but do not need separate rim sounds on the snare. The DTX432K saves money without giving up any voices, kits or training functions.
Be honest about the floor above someone else
The KP65 and real beater produce more floor vibration than the DTX402K's KU100 silent kick unit. A rug or foam riser helps considerably, but for an upper-floor flat where neighbour noise overrides pedal technique, the DTX402K remains the quieter choice.

What Is Not in the Box
Worth knowing before you order:
- A drum throne. Correct seat height is essential when both feet are working pedals.
- Sticks. 5A is the usual starting size.
- Headphones. The module uses a full-size 1/4-inch output, so check your connector or ask us for an adapter.
- A drum monitor or amplifier, if more than one person needs to hear the kit.

FAQ
Q. What is the difference between the DTX432K and DTX452K?
The snare pad. DTX452K uses the TP70S three-zone snare for head and rim articulation; DTX432K uses a single-surface 7.5-inch snare. Their module, voices, kick pad, bass drum pedal, hi-hat controller, toms and cymbals are otherwise the same.
Q. Can I use a double pedal?
Yes. The KP65 kick pad is twin-pedal compatible. The supplied FP6110A is a single pedal, so a double pedal is a separate purchase.
Q. What do the three snare zones add?
They let the module distinguish normal head strokes from different rim articulations, so rim shots and cross-stick-style parts can be practised with more realistic technique and sound.
Q. How quiet is it?
Much quieter than an acoustic kit, especially through headphones, but not silent. Rubber pads make stick noise and the real kick pedal sends some thump into the floor. A rug or foam mat is strongly recommended in flats.
Q. Will it connect to my phone or laptop?
Yes. USB TO HOST carries audio and MIDI. A suitable phone adapter or OTG cable is required for mobile devices; on a computer it works with the free Yamaha apps or a DAW.
Q. How much space does it need?
Approximately 800 x 1000 mm, plus space for a throne. The rack folds for storage between practice sessions.
