Key Features
Reflectone Pickups Co-Developed with Rupert Neve Designs
The PACP12M uses Reflectone HS7n and HS7m single-coils in the neck and middle positions and an HH7b humbucker at the bridge. Yamaha developed these pickups with Rupert Neve Designs for clear, articulate tones with solid lows and bright highs.
Coil Split and High-Pass Volume Circuit
The Master Tone has a push-pull coil split for the bridge humbucker, adding lighter single-coil style sounds. The Master Volume includes a high-pass circuit, and a 5-position lever switch selects the pickup combinations.
Acoustic Design Alder Body
Yamaha uses 3D modelling to design the routing of the alder body, aiming to increase resonance and improve vibration transfer between the neck and body. The body is finished in gloss polyurethane.
I.R.A. Treatment
After construction, each Pacifica Professional receives Yamaha's Initial Response Acceleration (I.R.A.) treatment. Yamaha applies it to bring out resonance and sustain from the finished instrument.
Slim C Neck with Carved Heel
The maple neck has a slim C profile and a custom-tinted satin finish for comfort and speed. A carved neck heel makes it easier to reach the highest frets.
Compound-Radius Maple Fingerboard with Stainless Frets
The PACP12M's maple fingerboard moves from a 10" radius near the nut to 14" higher up, helping clean chord shapes low on the neck and easier bends further up. Its 22 medium stainless-steel frets are durable and feel smooth when bending.
Gotoh Tremolo, Locking Tuners and TUSQ Nut
A Gotoh 510T FE-1 2-point tremolo and Gotoh locking tuners give smooth vibrato action and help keep the guitar in tune. A Graph Tech TUSQ nut completes the hardware package.
Made in Japan with Case and Certificate
The Pacifica Professional PACP12M is made in Japan. Yamaha supplies it with a hardshell case and a Certificate of Authenticity.
