The Yamaha Pacifica Professional PACP12M is a Japanese-made performance instrument developed for demanding stage and studio work. Yamaha’s Acoustic Design process shapes its alder body for a balanced resonant response, while the slim C-profile maple neck, carved heel and 10–14-inch compound-radius maple fingerboard provide confident access across all 22 stainless-steel frets.

Its Reflectone HSS pickups, co-developed with Rupert Neve Designs, deliver clear lows, articulate mids and open highs with the dynamic response needed for clean, driven and high-gain playing. Push-pull coil splitting, a high-pass filter on the Volume control, Gotoh locking tuners and a Gotoh 510T FE-1 tremolo complete a professional system supplied with a hardshell case and Certificate of Authenticity.

The HS7n neck, HS7m middle and HH7b bridge pickups are voiced for clarity, balance and musical dynamics. The HSS layout covers detailed single-coil sounds, powerful humbucker tones and responsive transitions between them.

Coil split and high-pass filter extend practical control

Pull the Master Tone control to split the bridge humbucker for brighter textures. The Master Volume incorporates a high-pass filter that helps retain clarity as the volume is reduced, while the five-way selector keeps pickup changes immediate.

Acoustic Design alder body with Initial Response Acceleration

Yamaha uses 3D modelling and acoustic analysis to optimise body routing and vibration transfer. After construction, Initial Response Acceleration treatment helps the instrument deliver an open, played-in response.

Slim C neck and 10–14-inch compound-radius maple fingerboard

The rounder lower-fret radius supports comfortable chord work, while the flatter upper register provides room for controlled bends and lead playing. A custom-tinted satin neck finish and carved heel encourage smooth movement across the full range.

Twenty-two medium stainless-steel frets and TUSQ nut

Durable stainless-steel frets provide a smooth surface for bends and vibrato. The Graph Tech TUSQ nut supplies a consistent string contact point as part of the instrument’s precision-focused neck and hardware system.

Gotoh locking tuners and 510T FE-1 two-point tremolo

Premium Gotoh hardware combines fast, secure restringing with smooth tremolo action and precise adjustment. Together with the TUSQ nut, it creates a stable, performance-ready platform when the guitar is correctly set up.
