Yamaha PACIFICA012 Electric Guitar

Beginner-Friendly Comfort. HSS Versatility. Genuine Pacifica Design.

The Yamaha PACIFICA012 is a full-size electric guitar designed to make learning comfortable, inspiring and straightforward. Its contoured mahogany body, bolt-on maple neck and accessible control layout provide a dependable foundation for lessons, home practice and a player’s first rehearsals.

A ceramic HSS pickup configuration covers clear single-coil sounds and a stronger bridge-humbucker voice, while the five-way selector makes exploring different tones simple. A vintage-style tremolo adds expressive pitch movement, giving new players the essential sounds and features needed to explore a wide range of music.

Ceramic HSS pickups cover clean, rhythm and rock sounds

Two ceramic single-coils deliver bright, articulate neck, middle and combined tones, while the ceramic bridge humbucker adds the body and output needed for overdrive, distortion and lead playing.

Five pickup positions encourage tonal exploration

The five-way lever moves easily from warm neck sounds through clear in-between settings to the punchy bridge humbucker. Master Volume and Master Tone keep adjustments intuitive.

Contoured mahogany body for comfortable practice

The double-cutaway body is shaped for comfort while seated or standing, with smooth contours and easy upper-fret access that help new players concentrate on technique.

Full-size maple neck with 22 medium frets

The satin-finished maple neck, 25.5-inch scale and 13.75-inch fingerboard radius provide a familiar playing surface for learning chords, scales, bends and lead phrases.

Vintage-style tremolo adds expressive pitch movement

Use the tremolo arm to add subtle shimmer, chord dips and melodic vibrato. The design introduces an important electric-guitar technique without complicating the instrument’s controls.

A practical first guitar with room to develop

The PACIFICA012 combines beginner-friendly ergonomics with a full-size scale and adaptable pickup layout, allowing it to remain useful as musical interests and playing skills grow.

Q. Is the Yamaha PACIFICA012 suitable for a beginner?

Yes. Its comfortable body, straightforward controls and versatile pickup system make it an excellent first electric guitar, while its full-size construction allows it to remain useful as the player progresses.

Q. What does HSS mean?

HSS means the guitar has one humbucker and two single-coil pickups. This provides clear single-coil tones alongside the thicker, higher-output sound of a bridge humbucker.

Q. What styles of music can it handle?

The HSS configuration works across pop, blues, funk, indie and rock. The bridge humbucker is particularly useful with overdrive or distortion, while the single-coils provide brighter clean sounds.

Q. How does the PACIFICA012 differ from the PACIFICA112J?

The PACIFICA012 uses a mahogany body, while the 112J uses alder and sits above it within the Pacifica range. Both offer ceramic HSS pickups, five-way switching and a vintage-style tremolo.

Q. Does it have a coil split?

No. The PACIFICA012 uses a simple Master Volume and Master Tone layout. Players specifically seeking a push-pull bridge-humbucker coil split can consider the PACIFICA112V or PACIFICA112VM.

Q. Does it include a case or amplifier?

A case and amplifier are not included as standard. YMS can help match it with a suitable gig bag, practice amplifier, cable, strap, tuner and other essentials.

Q. Which finishes are available on this listing?

This product is offered in Red Metallic, Black, Dark Blue and White, subject to current availability. Select the preferred finish from the product options before ordering.
