It pairs a mahogany double-cutaway body with a bolt-on maple neck and a ceramic HSS pickup set: two single-coils plus a bridge humbucker.

Mahogany body in four finishes
The PACIFICA012 uses a mahogany body in the classic Pacifica double-cutaway shape, finished in gloss polyurethane with a 1-ply white pickguard. Yamaha offers it in Red Metallic, Black, Dark Blue Metallic and White.
Ceramic HSS pickups on the PACIFICA012
Two ceramic single-coil pickups in the neck and middle positions give bright, clear clean and rhythm tones, while the ceramic humbucker at the bridge adds the extra output and thickness you want for overdrive, distortion and lead lines. One guitar covers pop, blues, funk, indie and rock.
5-way pickup selector
The 5-position lever switch selects the bridge humbucker, the humbucker with the middle single-coil, the middle pickup alone, the middle and neck together, or the neck pickup alone. Moving between these settings is a quick way for new players to learn how pickup choice shapes their sound.
Simple Master Volume and Master Tone controls
There are just two knobs, a Master Volume and a Master Tone, so there is nothing confusing between you and your sound. Roll the volume back for a cleaner tone through a driven amp, or the tone back for a warmer, rounder voice.
Comfortable satin-finish maple neck
The bolt-on maple neck has a smooth satin polyurethane finish, a 13-3/4 in (350 mm) fingerboard radius and 22 medium frets on a rosewood or walnut fingerboard. It measures 41.0 mm wide at the nut and 20.9 mm thick at the first fret, a comfortable size for learning chords and scales.
Vintage-style tremolo bridge
The vintage-style tremolo, used with its screw-in arm, lets you add gentle vibrato, shimmering chords or pitch dips. It introduces an essential electric-guitar technique while keeping the instrument easy to maintain.
