The Yamaha DGB1K ENST pairs the GB1K acoustic baby grand with the Disklavier ENSPIRE ST system, adding full recording and playback, the Yamaha SILENT Piano system and DSP Servo Drive. The instrument is built around the Yamaha GB1K, a 146 cm wide, 151 cm deep baby grand with 88 keys. The Disklavier technology is added to the acoustic piano rather than replacing it, so the touch and tone come from a real grand action and strings.
Reproduces Every Nuance, Including Key Release
Non-contact optical grayscale shutter sensors on all 88 keys read key position, keying velocity and key-release velocity, and optical sensing tracks the damper and shift pedals. Because release speed is captured and played back, damper timing and articulation are recreated faithfully, with AccuPlay DSP checking and adjusting accuracy during playback.
Record, Review and Share Performances
Precise recording lets teachers and students play back a performance on the piano itself and discuss phrasing, dynamics and pedalling in detail. Yamaha's video sync technology also makes it possible to create and share piano-driven video performances using just the instrument and a camera.
SILENT Piano Mode with CFX Binaural Sound
A motor-driven hammer shank stopper keeps the hammers from striking the strings, so you can practise through headphones without disturbing anyone. The headphone sound uses CFX binaural sampling, which recreates the presence of Yamaha's CFX concert grand from the player's seat.
500 Built-In Songs and a Growing Library
The DGB1K ENST includes 500 built-in songs: 380 piano solos (PianoSoft Solo), 72 with instrumental accompaniment (PianoSoft Plus) and 48 with audio backing (PianoSoft Audio). More performances can be downloaded from the Yamaha MusicSoft online store, and SMF, MP3 and WAV files play from optional USB flash memory.
Disklavier Control from Your Phone or Tablet
The ENSPIRE Controller app gives intuitive access to music and functions from a smartphone, tablet or computer over a network connection. Yamaha also offers Piano Radio streaming with more than 30 channels of piano music for continuous listening.
