Yamaha CG192S Classical Guitar
The Yamaha CG192S is the top model in Yamaha's CG series of full-size classical guitars. Yamaha describes it as representing the best of the series in both looks and sound, with a solid European spruce top, rosewood back and sides, an African mahogany neck and an ebony fingerboard.
It is made for advanced students, teachers and performing classical guitarists who want the most refined CG model, as well as players upgrading from a laminated-top or entry-level solid-top guitar.

Among the CG models in Yamaha India's lineup, only the CG192S has a solid European spruce top; the CG182S, CG142S and CG122MS use solid spruce. Yamaha describes spruce as giving a clear fundamental tone that varies widely with your touch, and notes that its tone improves as the wood matures.
Rosewood Back and Sides
Both the back and the sides are rosewood, shared with the CG182S and a step up from the nato used on the CG122MS and CG142S. Paired with the European spruce top, it gives the CG192S classical guitar its premium tonewood combination.
African Mahogany Neck
The CG192S has an African mahogany neck, whereas the CG182S, CG142S and CG122MS use nato. A thin matte finish on the neck lets your fretting hand move smoothly while keeping a secure grip, and Yamaha notes the thin coat also benefits resonance.
Ebony Fingerboard and Rosewood Bridge
The flat fingerboard is ebony and the bridge is rosewood, with a urea nut and saddle. Yamaha has refined its saddle and saddle-slot design for a precise fit, which helps improve attack and sustain by reducing the loss of string vibration.
Bracing Pattern and Bridge Plate
The CG series uses a bracing pattern designed for excellent response and rich resonance. A bridge plate under the top helps transfer string vibration efficiently into the soundboard.
