Yamaha CG182S Classical Guitar
The Yamaha CG182S is a full-size nylon-string classical guitar from Yamaha's CG series. It combines a solid spruce top with rosewood back and sides, an ebony fingerboard and gold tuners, with a gloss body finish and a matte neck.

Solid Spruce Top on the CG182S
The soundboard is solid spruce. Yamaha describes spruce as giving a clear fundamental tone that varies widely with your touch, and notes that its tone improves as the wood matures, so the guitar rewards regular playing.
Rosewood Back and Sides
Rosewood is used for both the back and the sides of the CG182S, a step up from the nato back and sides of the CG122MS and CG142S. It is the same back and side wood used on the flagship CG192S.
Ebony Fingerboard and Rosewood Bridge
The flat fingerboard is ebony, and the bridge is rosewood, with a urea nut and saddle. Yamaha has refined its saddle and saddle-slot design for a precise fit, which helps improve attack and sustain by reducing the loss of string vibration.
Bracing Pattern and Bridge Plate
The CG series uses a bracing pattern designed for excellent response and rich resonance. A bridge plate under the top helps transfer string vibration efficiently into the soundboard.
