The F370 uses a dreadnought-style body measuring 505 mm long, 412 mm wide and 96–116 mm deep. The large body gives plenty of volume and a full low end for strumming chords and accompanying vocals. Overall, the guitar is 1029 mm (40 1/2") long.

Easy-Playing Neck and 25-Inch Scale

Yamaha gives the F Series a comfortably slim neck and a slightly shorter fretboard so it is kind to your fingertips. On the F370 this means a 634 mm (25") scale, a 43 mm (1 11/16") nut and 10.0 mm bridge-pin spacing. The neck has a matt finish and a 400 mm (15 3/4") fingerboard radius.

Spruce Top and Locally Sourced Tonewoods

A spruce top sits over back and sides of locally sourced tonewood, and the neck is made the same way. To minimise waste and support sustainable sourcing, Yamaha uses various tonewood species according to availability. Yamaha lists the top as spruce; for a solid spruce top, look at the FG800.

Die-Cast Chrome TM-29T Tuners

The F370 is fitted with die-cast chrome TM-29T tuning machines. This is a step up from the covered chrome TM-14P tuners Yamaha fits to the F400. They give the F370 a solid, precise feel when you tune up.

Rosewood Fingerboard and Bridge

The fingerboard and bridge are rosewood, with a urea nut and saddle and black ABS bridge pins. The F370 is strung with steel strings gauged .012/.016/.024/.032/.042/.053. A hex wrench is included.
