Yamaha FC7 Expression Pedal (Foot Controller)

Hands-Free Volume and Expression Control for Your Yamaha Setup

The Yamaha FC7 is a heavy-duty foot controller for changing volume, expression and other assignable parameters. Unlike an on/off sustain pedal, it is a continuous controller, so you can swell or fade sound smoothly with your foot while both hands keep playing.

Yamaha built the FC7 for demanding use, with a fortissimo function for accents, an adjustable pedal angle, adjustable spring point and a metal connection plate for ganging several pedals together. Please check that your instrument has a foot controller input before ordering.

Continuous volume and expression control

Rock the pedal to change volume, expression or another parameter your instrument lets you assign to a foot controller. It is ideal for organ, string and pad sounds that benefit from gradual swells.

Fortissimo function for accents

The FC7’s fortissimo function lets you accent certain parts of a performance, adding extra emphasis exactly where the music needs it.

Adjustable pedal angle

The pedal angle can be adjusted to suit your playing style and seating position, so the controller feels natural whether you play seated or standing.

Adjustable spring point

Yamaha lets you adjust the spring point, tailoring how the pedal responds under your foot for finer control.

Metal plate for ganging pedals

A metal connection plate allows multiple pedals to be ganged together, keeping a multi-pedal setup neat and stable on stage or in the studio.

Q. Is the FC7 a sustain pedal?

No. The FC7 is a continuous foot controller for volume, expression and other assignable parameters. For sustain, look at an on/off foot switch such as the Yamaha FC4A or FC5.

Q. Will the FC7 work with my keyboard?

Your instrument needs a foot controller (expression) input. Many entry-level keyboards only have a sustain jack, so please check your model with our team before ordering.

Q. What does the fortissimo function do?

Yamaha describes it as a way to accent certain parts of a performance, giving extra emphasis to chosen passages.

Q. Can I adjust how the FC7 feels?

Yes. Both the pedal angle and the spring point are adjustable to suit different playing styles.
