Yamaha FS80C Concert Cutaway Acoustic Guitar

Comfortable Concert Proportions. Cutaway Access. Made for Indian Players.

The Yamaha FS80C is an India-exclusive concert cutaway acoustic designed for beginners, students and players who prefer a more manageable alternative to a full-size dreadnought. Its narrower 380 mm body and cutaway improve comfort and upper-fret access, while its spruce top delivers a clear, balanced voice for chords, accompaniment and introductory fingerstyle.

A 634 mm scale, 43 mm nut and 10 mm string spacing support approachable fretting, while a rosewood fingerboard and bridge provide familiar acoustic-guitar feel. Built at Yamaha Music India’s factory, the FS80C combines durable everyday construction with four attractive finish options.

Concert cutaway body for comfort and upper-fret access

The 497 mm-long, 380 mm-wide body is easier to hold than a broad dreadnought, while the cutaway provides clearer access to higher frets. It suits younger players, smaller frames and anyone who prefers a more compact seated playing position.

Laminated spruce top for clear, balanced acoustic response

The laminated spruce top supports a versatile tone for chord practice, strumming and lighter picking.

25-inch scale and 43 mm nut for approachable playability

The 634 mm scale offers a slightly shorter reach than many full-size acoustics. A 43 mm nut, 10 mm string spacing, matte neck finish and rosewood fingerboard help developing players build clean, confident technique.

Made in India to Yamaha quality standards

The FS80C is built at the Yamaha Music India factory as a model developed specifically for the Indian market. It is designed around durability, stability and accessible value for regular learning and everyday music making.

Four colour choices with practical traditional detailing

Black binding, black-and-white soundhole inlay and a black pickguard frame the concert cutaway design. This listing offers Black, Natural, Tobacco Brown Sunburst and Wood Brown, subject to availability.

Purely acoustic steel-string design

The FS80C has no factory pickup, preamp, controls or output connection. Players who need built-in amplification should consider the related FSX80C acoustic-electric model.

Q. Who is the Yamaha FS80C best suited to?

It suits beginners, students, younger players and adults who want a comfortable steel-string acoustic with a concert body and cutaway access at an affordable price.

Q. Does the FS80C have a solid spruce top?

No. The FS80C has a laminated spruce top, not a solid top.

Q. What does the cutaway do?

The cutaway removes part of the upper body beside the neck, giving the fretting hand easier access to higher positions for melodies, lead lines and extended chord shapes.

Q. How does the FS80C differ from the FSX80C?

The FS80C is purely acoustic. The FSX80C retains the concert cutaway format but adds an A.R.T. pickup system and output connection for amplified performance.

Q. Is the FS80C steel-string or nylon-string?

It is a six-string steel-string acoustic guitar and should use suitable acoustic steel strings rather than classical-guitar nylon strings.

Q. Is a gig bag included?

Yamaha lists a hex wrench as the standard accessory and no included case. YMS can help select a suitable concert-guitar gig bag or case.

Q. Which colours are available?

This listing offers Black, Natural, Tobacco Brown Sunburst and Wood Brown, subject to current stock.
