Yamaha PA-130B AC Power Adaptor for Portable Keyboards

The Yamaha PA-130B is a genuine Yamaha AC power adaptor that converts mains electricity into a steady 12 V DC supply for compatible portable keyboards. It is the smallest and lightest adaptor in the Yamaha series YMS stocks, at just 135 g.

It is the adaptor to choose if your keyboard's specifications call for the PA-130, including the PSR-E283, PSR-E383, PSR-F52 and PSR-I300. Owners use it as a replacement for a lost or damaged adaptor, or as a spare to keep at a second home, classroom or practice room.

The PA-130B is made by Yamaha for its own instruments, so you get the rating Yamaha designs its PA-130 keyboards around. It is a practical replacement if the original adaptor has gone missing or stopped working.

Yamaha rates the PA-130B output at 12 V DC and 0.7 A. Every PA-130 keyboard YMS sells, from the PSR-F52 to the PSR-E383, has a 12 V DC IN socket.

100–240 V AC Input

The adaptor accepts mains input from 100 to 240 V AC at 50 or 60 Hz, with an input rating of 0.3 A, which covers the 230 V mains supply used in India.

Keyboards That Use the PA-130

Yamaha India's specifications list the PA-130, or an equivalent recommended by Yamaha, for the PSR-E283, PSR-E383, PSR-F52 and PSR-I300. Yamaha also quotes the PSR-F52's 6 W power consumption with the PA-130B adaptor.

Save Batteries During Practice

All four of these keyboards can also run on six AA batteries, but Yamaha advises avoiding batteries where AC power is available. Mains power is the economical choice for daily practice at home.

Which Yamaha keyboards use the PA-130B?

Of the keyboards YMS sells, Yamaha India lists the PA-130 (or an equivalent recommended by Yamaha) for the PSR-E283, PSR-E383, PSR-F52 and PSR-I300. Yamaha quotes the PSR-F52's power consumption using the PA-130B.

Should I buy the PA-130B or the PA-150B?

Pick the one Yamaha lists for your instrument. Both give 12 V DC, but the PA-150B is rated 1.5 A against 0.7 A for the PA-130B. Yamaha specifies the PA-150 or PA-150B for the PSR-E483, PSR-I510, P-145, P-145BT, P-225, CK61 and CK88.

Will the PA-130B work with a PSR-E583 or PSR-I610?

No. Yamaha lists the PA-300C (16 V DC, 2.4 A) for both, and they have a 16 V DC IN socket, so choose the PA-300C for these models.

Do new keyboards from YMS come with an adaptor?

Yes. Every student and arranger keyboard sold by YMS comes with its AC adaptor, so the PA-130B is for replacing a lost or faulty adaptor or keeping a spare.

Can I still play my keyboard on batteries?

Yes. The PSR-E283, PSR-E383, PSR-F52 and PSR-I300 also run on six AA batteries. Yamaha recommends using AC power where it is available, which makes the adaptor the better choice at home.
